"Taste of Christmas is a key event in the Taylor’s Port event calendar, the key combination of food, wine and gifts at this key selling period is not only a great marketing opportunity for the brand but in 2011, a great sales opportunity. Through sampling cheese and chocolate with our Taylor’s port we enticed customers to talk to us and try a range of different ports from the everyday drinking premium ruby, Taylor’s First Estate and cheddar cheese or a 54% dark chocolate to a lighter Taylor’s 10YO tawny port paired with a creamier cheese /milk chocolate. Consumers were looking for both port wines to serve to family and friends with dinner over the festive period and gift opportunities.
The atmosphere in the venue was festive and buzzing, both as a consumer and an exhibitor is was thoroughly enjoyable, putting all in the silly season mood.
The event also provided great opportunities to pair up with fellow suppliers, we teamed up with the Ryvita stand and Paxton and Whitfield to co host Taylor’s port and cheese seminars.
Working with the Taste team has enabled us to start planning ahead this year to look forward to new opportunities and making 2012 even better!"
Amanda Collins, Commercial Manager, Taylor's Port
