Home Visiting Shop 'n' drop by Action Against Hunger

Action Against Hunger

In 2012, Action Against Hunger ran a number of exciting activities and services at their two stands.

With an incredible range of artisan producers and boutique suppliers showcasing at Taste of Christmas, and a variety of the country’s best Restaurants for when you get peckish, why should coats and bags hold you back? Action Against Hunger ran the Shop & Drop and Cloakroom, a space for you to leave your coats and bulky items stored away for £1 per item whilst you continue to explore the show.

In addition to this, you could get your purchases ready for putting straight under the tree with Action Against Hunger’s Christmas wrapping service. For a donation of £3 per item, they would relieve you of any last minute wrapping disasters and have your gifts beautifully presented and ready well in advance of the big day. These services were available throughout the show from 10am – 6pm each day.

There was also plenty going on to feast your eyes on at this year’s Action Against Hunger stand.  With opportunities to win some great foodie prizes throughout the weekend, and the chance to take a trip down nostalgia lane and try your luck at the Great Taste tombola

Or, for those with a bit of creative flare, we held a photo competition to share the foodie love. Entrants simply tweeted a creative photo of our logo at the show with either food you love or food you will be giving this Christmas to @LoveFoodGive for your chance to win an exciting Christmas treat.  For even more chances to put your luck to the test, they also sold raffle tickets throughout the weekend, with some exciting prizes to win from the variety of restaurants who will be exhibiting at the show.

For those of you wanting to stock up on Christmas pressies, there were also plenty of gifts for sale, such as Richard Bramble merchandise, and a variety of Christmas cards ready to purchase before the Christmas mail out.
