Action Against Hunger

Action Against Hunger, an official charity partner of Taste Festivals,  is an international humanitarian organisation committed to ending child hunger. Recognised as a leader in the fight against malnutrition, Action Against Hunger saves the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger. With 30 years of expertise in emergency situations of conflict, natural disaster and chronic food insecurity, Action Against Hunger runs life-saving programmes in over 45 countries benefitting seven million people each year. Their programme areas include nutrition and health, water and sanitation, food security as well as advocacy.

You can support Action Against Hunger at Taste of Christmas by leaving your bags and a donation to the charity at the Shop and Drop, or by dining at their exclusive restaurant stand - a 5 Star collaborative venture with some of Action Against Hunger’s top chef supporters to follow on from the overwhelming success of the 5 Star Burger at Taste of London earlier this year.

Every pound you help raise for Action Against Hunger at Taste of Christmas contributes towards their life saving treatments. Just £1 is enough to feed a malnourished child for a day, and £10 can provide safe, clean drinking water to 500 people, so your support really will make a difference. #

Love Food Give Food is a campaign to help get child hunger off the table by raising money for Action Against Hunger. It unites everyone from chefs and restaurateurs, food producers and retailers to everyone who simply loves to cook, to all take a small action to make a big difference towards ending world hunger.
From customers adding £1 to the bill in restaurants or buying tickets to a Love Food Give Food supperclub, to food-loving folk hosting dinner parties to raised funds, there’s loads of ways to get involved in Love Food Give Food from September through to November.

“Love Food Give Food is a simple, rewarding campaign and your support will help to provide malnourished children with the nutrition they need to grow, learn and develop, and provide families with sustainable solutions to hunger.”

OBE and ACF Ambassador
